Florida woman charged with domestic violence, other allegations

When an individual has an addiction or alcohol abuse problem, he or she may not always make the best decisions. Unfortunately, some of those decisions could land a party in serious trouble and possibly facing charges for domestic violence or other similar offenses. If an individual is facing such allegations, he or she may wish to explore his or her legal options and how those charges could affect his or her future.

It was recently reported that a Florida mother was taken into custody on multiple charges after allegedly leaving her children alone. The report stated that the woman's three young children were purportedly left in her bedroom while she went to a bar. While alone, an infant allegedly began choking on a cigarette butt. Two other adults in the home went to the aid of the child.

The woman apparently punched her boyfriend in the face after he confronted her about the situation. It is unclear how authorities became alerted to the situation, but the woman was taken into custody. She is currently facing multiple allegations of child neglect, domestic violence and another charge.

Domestic violence and the other allegations she is currently facing could come with serious consequences if she is convicted. Therefore, she may wish to determine the best way to approach her case. If available, she may wish to consider a plea bargain. Such a deal could offer some alternative form of sentencing, such as a rehabilitation program, rather than jail time. Gathering information on plea bargains and other legal options in Florida may be prudent.
