Juvenile charges leveled against Florida teen for alleged murder

When minors are accused of involvement in illegal activity, the legal process can seem overwhelming. Luckily, individuals facing juvenile charges have the opportunity to seek assistance and information regarding their cases in order to better understand. In many cases, gaining more knowledge on defense options may be a prudent action to consider for parties facing charges.

One teenager in Florida may be hoping to better understand his legal predicament due to recently being taken into custody. It was reported that the 17-year-old boy and his 18-year-old girlfriend had met up with an older man for an undisclosed reason when an argument reportedly broke out between the boy and the man. The boy allegedly told his girlfriend to go inside before purportedly shooting the man.

The boy and his girlfriend allegedly put the man's body in the man's truck and then reportedly discarded it in a lake. The boy's girlfriend purportedly informed her mother about the incident, and her mother took her to the police station to submit a statement. The boy was questioned by police, and he is currently facing charges for first degree murder. Because he is under 18 years old, he was being held in a juvenile center.

Juvenile charges relating to murder can cause considerable hardships for the individual accused. In order to handle his case, the teenager may wish to learn more about his legal options for defense and on Florida criminal proceedings relating to his case. This information may allow him to feel more confident in creating a meaningful defense as his case moves forward.
