Florida man charged after alleged theft at car dealership

One man in Florida may be working toward handling his legal situation after recently being taken into custody. It was reported that the man was allegedly involved in a theft at a car dealership. He had purportedly taken two big-screen televisions from the dealership, put them inside an SUV that was on the showroom floor and then attempted to drive away in the SUV.

The SUV crashed through the glass front doors of the dealership while the man allegedly tried to get away. However, the SUV crashed into another vehicle. The driver apparently exited the vehicle and left the scene. Police were reportedly alerted to the crash, and officers approached the man after seeing him walking nearby. He was suspected of being intoxicated.

The man was taken into custody, and he is currently facing multiple charges. Among those allegations are grand theft and commercial burglary. It was also mentioned that the man had warrants for his arrest in two other counties. It was not certain whether the man had obtained any legal counsel.

In order to handle his case in a meaningful way, the accused man will likely want to learn more about the grand theft charge and other allegations that have been brought against him. By becoming more knowledgeable on those topics as well as Florida criminal proceedings in general, he may feel more confident as his case moves forward toward trial. Additionally, he may find consulting with an experienced defense attorney helpful in understanding his legal predicament and in making important decisions about the progress of his case.
