Florida man facing felony charges re alleged defrauding scheme

Facing serious criminal charges can have a profound effect on an individual’s life. He or she will likely be concerned over the possible outcomes of legal proceedings related to the charges that have been brought against that person. One man in Florida may be reviewing his legal options after being taken into custody. It was reported that the man was acting as a surveyor, but he was allegedly surveying land that had previously been surveyed by another individual. Additionally, the man was reportedly forging surveying documents.

It was clear how the authorities became alerted to the man and the alleged forgeries. However, the man was taken into custody and is facing several criminal charges. Some of the charges that were filed against the man include forgery, being an unlicensed surveyor, scheming to defraud and other allegations. It was also reported that authorities purportedly also found cocaine in the man’s possession, and he is facing additional charges for that. He was being held in jail in lieu of $90,000 bail.

Felony charges can come with steep penalties if a conviction is ultimately secured. Many of the charges brought against the man are considered felonies, and as a result, he may wish to understand what this information means for his legal situation.
