Florida man facing felony charges after alleged assault, eluding

by | Dec 18, 2015 | Felonies, Firm News

Criminal charges can be substantially worrisome for individuals who have had allegations brought against them. One man in Florida may be hoping to determine the most meaningful way to approach his case after recently having felony charges leveled against him. It was reported that authorities were acting on arrest warrants and attempted to take the man into custody while he was in a vehicle.

The warrants were apparently issued due to the man being wanted for burglary and automobile theft. However, the man purportedly exited his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot from the officers. It was reported that the man allegedly tried to disarm one of the officers during the chase. As a result of the situation, the man was tazed and taken into custody.

The man is currently facing several charges stemming from the purported incident. Reports stated that he is facing charges that include aggravated battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, criminal mischief and assault on a police officer as well as other allegations. It was also noted that another individual — a 36-year-old woman — was taken into custody as an accessory.

Because some of the charges leveled against the man are felony charges, he could face considerable punishment if he is convicted. In order to work toward a more desirable outcome, the man may wish to better understand the charges and the proceedings he will likely go through in the Florida criminal justice system. Discussing his predicament with an experienced defense attorney may help him feel more confident by having a legal advocate.
